Pep Guardiola gives injury update on his team ahead of Burnley clash

Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has confirmed that two of his first-team players will not be available for the midweek clash against Burnley.

Guardiola confirmed that Rodri and Ruben Dias will not be in the match-day squad for the game against Burnley after the crucial victory against Arsenal at the Etihad.

Guardiola admitted Dias is “not yet ready, meaning City will once again have to cope without one of their defensive leaders. The timing of these injuries is far from is he season entering a decisive phase, every match carries weight, and missing key players could disrupt rhythm and consistency.

Rodri, in particular, has been a cornerstone in Guardiola’s system, dictating tempo and providing balance between defence and attack.
