Paris 2024: Nigeria's squad ahead of qualifiers against South Africa revealed

The squad list ahead of the must-win Olympics qualifiers Nigeria vs South Africa has been confirmed in an official announcement by the Super Falcons.

Randy Waldrum, the head coach of the Super Falcons, has released a list of 22 players who will represent the team in their final-round qualifying match for the 2024 Olympic Games against the Banyana Banyana of South Africa.

The squad includes regular players such as goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, Asisat Oshoala, Ashleigh Plumptre, Osinachi Ohale, and Rasheedat Ajibade. The team will also feature top stars like Halimat Ayinde, Christy Ucheibe, Ifeoma Onumonu, and Uchenna Kanu. However, Oluwatosin Demehin and Rofiat Imuran were not included in the squad by the American coach.

The first leg of the match will be played at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja on Friday, April 5, 2024, with the reverse fixture taking place at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. The winners of the tie will secure a place in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
