Chelsea confirmed the signing of former Manchester City player, Raheem Sterling on its official website. The signing is good news for supporters of the Stamford Bridge club as the Blues have been linked with a lot of players without making any signings.

Chelsea's coach, Thomas Tuchel has been a huge supporter of Sterling and has always wanted him at Stamford Bridge. He is the first signing of the Men's football club under Todd Boehly's Era.

Sterling expressed his delight concerning his move to the London club and hopes to win more trophies in addition to the ones he has in his medals cabinet.

I’ve obviously achieved a lot in my career so far, but there is still so much more to achieve and I’m really looking forward to doing that in a Chelsea shirt, under Thomas’s management.

Since 2016/17, he is one of only eight players to have scored 80 or more Premier League goals, averaging 22 in all competitions across the past five seasons, as well as an average of 10 assists per term over the same period.

Chelsea paid £45 million for the forward man and are expected to pay add-ons of at least £10 million. The player is reported to earn £300,000 a week which will make him Chelsea's highest-paid player.
