Top premier league side Chelsea FC has confirmed in an official statement which was released today, Tuesday, October 18, 2022, that a first-team player is out of the FIFA World Cup 2022, which is scheduled to kick off on the 20th of November in Qatar.

It was confirmed that the France international star N'Golo Kante is out of the World Cup 2022 after undergoing a hamstring injury operation which would keep him out of any form of football activity for a total of four months.

The fitness of N'Golo Kante had been a major concern for Chelsea after he was sidelined for the blues after the second game of the premier league season against Tottenham, where he hobbled off before the end of the game.

This is also a huge blow for France, as N'Golo had been an integral part of the squad that won the world cup in 2018.
