The news was confirmed on Barcelona's website on Wednesday, February 2nd, 2022. Notjustok had earlier reported that Aubameyang left London on the final day of the transfer window for a possible move to the Catalonia club.

Aubameyang signed a contract that will see him stay at the club until June 2025 but there is an option to terminate in 2023. The club has placed his release clause on £100 million.

The Gabonese's contract was terminated on the final day of the contract, which means he will not return to Arsenal at the end of the season.

Aubameyang had fallen out of place with the Gunners' manager, Mikel Arteta following a lack of discipline which led him to lose his captaincy armband.

Barcelona will hope the striker finds his feet at the club. The Gabonese striker whose season had been discovered will hope that his season can be revived at Barcelona.
