(1) Mikel Arteta (Arsenal)

Arteta's Arsenal defeated Ange Postecoglou's Nottingham Forest, rescuing a late draw against title rivals Manchester City and grabbed a late victory at Newcastle United that took the Gunners up to second in the Premier League table.

(2) Oliver Glasner (Crystal Palace)

Glasner's Crystal Palace are the only unbeaten team in the Premier League this season. They began September with a 0-0 draw at home to Sunderland, but quickly turned on the style, recording back-to-back victories against West Ham United and Liverpool.

(3) Pep Guardiola (Man City)

Guardiola's Man City were in high scoring mood in September as they scorednine goals and only conceding two. Man City recorded a memorable 3-0 Manchester derby win, which they followed up with a resolute defensive display in a 1-1 draw at Arsenal before ending the month with a 5-1 thrashing of Burnley.

(4) Regis Le Bris (Sunderland)

Le Bris' Sunderland continue to defy expectations in their first season back in the Premier League, going unbeaten through September to end the month fifth in the table. The Black Cats conceded only one goal all month, and that was in a 1-1 draw with Aston Villa when they were reduced to 10 men. Sunderland held unbeaten Crystal Palace to a goalless draw, while they ended the month by beating Forest 1-0 at City Ground.
