Nigeria's opponents revealed in 2025 AFCON group stage draw

Nigeria's opponents in the group stage of the 2025 African Cup of Nations (AFCON), which will be hosted in Morocco have been confirmed in the draw held today.
As football fans in Africa and the rest of the world gear up for another exciting edition of AFCON scheduled for 2025, countries that would slug it out in the group stages of the tournament have been confirmed in the draw, which was held in Rabat on Monday, January 27, 2025.
Anticipations on the opponents top countries such as Nigeria, Morocco, the champions Ivory Coast and many more were confirmed at the group stage Draw for AFCON 2025.
The 24 participating teams were zoned into six groups of four teams each as the competition gets underway in December 2025. The two teams with the highest number of points in each group, alongside the four best losers from the remaining 12 teams, will qualify for the round of 16.
