2026 World Cup qualifier: Nigeria vs Zimbabwe; team news

Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle named the same starting XI as he did in the World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe as he did for the Rwanda clash.
Stanley Nwabali retained his position in goal while the back four were Ola Aina, Calvin Bassey, William Troost Ekong, and Osayi-Samuel. The midfield trio includes Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi, and Samuel Chukwueze while Ademola Lookman, Victor Osimhen, and Moses Simon were named as the forward players.
Osimhen will hope that he can replicate the same form he had against Rwanda in Kigali which was him score a brace to give Nigeria the maximum points. The game between Nigeria and Zimbabwe will be played on Tuesday, March 25, 2025.
The game is a must-win for Nigeria as they can't afford to drop any point after their poor form in the opening three games of the World Cup qualifier. The Super Eagles currently occupy the fourth place with 6 points after securing one win and three draws in four games behind South Africa, Benin Republic and Rwanda respectively.
