Nigeria Gets Tough Draw Ahead of FIFA Women's U-17 World Cup

The Under-17 women's team of Nigeria, the flamingos have been given a tough draw ahead of the FIFA World Cup to be hosted in India.

The draw which was held on Friday, June 24th, 2022 saw the West African country drawn into Group B alongside, Germany, Chile and New Zealand. The second African representative, Morocco also got themselves a tough draw, they were grouped alongside USA, Brazil and the host nation, India in Group A.

Defending champion, Spain were placed in Group C alongside Colombia, Mexico and Chile while the final group consists of Japan, Tanzania, Canada and France.

The eighth edition of the competition will kick start on October 11th to 30th, 2022. The top two teams at the end of the group games will advance to the Quarter-finals.
