Nicolas Jackson escapes 3-match ban by the English FA

Chelsea forward player, Nicolas Jackson can count himself a lucky man despite all the problems currently going on at the club.

The forward player who came in as a substitute in the defeat against Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday, December 10, 2023, could have gotten himself a three-match suspension following his altercation with Patterson after the final whistle had gone in the match. Nicolas Jackson has failed to hit the ground running since he completed his move from Villareal to Chelsea during the 2023 summer transfer window.

Chelsea feared that the incident would be compounded by a retrospective action taken on Jackson for his throat grab. However, the FA have decided that the incident was dealt with at the time, and see no reason to punish Jackson.

Chelsea slipped to 12th place on the table having just 19 points in the first 16 games of the league following the result against Everton. The Blues have won just five games, drawn four and lost seven matches.
