N'Golo Kante picks the best player between Ronaldo and Messi

Former Leicester City and Chelsea player, N'Golo Kante has shared his opinion on the long-standing debate about who is the better player between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

The French international was speaking in an interview where he was asked to pick who he considers the best between the Portuguese and the Argentine.

The Ronaldo vs Messi rivalry can be compared to the debate about who is the best player between Diego Maradona and Pele. The debate had lasted with both players consistently pushing each other to new heights.

Messi's victory at the 2022 World Cup and the 2024 Copa America with Argentina has swayed the debate in his favour for many fans around the world. This success will most likely give him a chance of winning a record-extending 9th Ballon d'Or.

However, Kante who plays for Al Ittihad in the Saudi Pro League, was asked about the two football superstars back in 2016, during his time with Leicester City. He picked Messi as the GOAT between both players.
