NFF reportedly finalise head coach position for Nigeria ahead of international friendlies
The Super Eagles of Nigeria have reportedly received a new head coach who is not Austin Eguaveon ahead of the March 2024 international friendlies.
Following the official confirmation of the departure of Jose Peseiro from his role as the head coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, the AFCON 2023 finalist have reportedly received another head coach ahead of the March 2024 international friendlies.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria will take on two of their top West African rivals; Ghana on March 22, 2024, before taking on Mali four days later on March 26, 2024, both in Morocco.
As per multiple reports, the former Ajax star Finidi George who was the assistant coach under Jose Peseiro will manage the team for the two friendly matches according to reporta as the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will race to find a permanent replacement for Peseiro.
Reports had initially suggested that the Technical Director, Austin Eguaveon would take over from Peseiro but from all indications Findi George is set to fill in the position.
