NFF confirms fixtures and 26-man squad list for a no-coach Super Eagles of Nigeria ahead of the international break

With no official confirmation of a new head coach or interim coach, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced the countries Nigeria would play against during the international break as well as the 26-man squad.

The official announcement confirmed that Nigeria would take on Ghana on March 22, 2024, and Mali on March 26, 2024, in Morocco.

Fit and available players from the 34th edition of AFCON were retained with new players also making their way into the squad ahead of qualifiers and AFCON 2025.

In addition, the team has made some interesting changes, including the recall of Jamilu Collins, an England-based defender, as well as Tyronne Ebuehi from Empoli FC of Italy and Cyriel Dessers from Glasgow Rangers. Furthermore, the team's midfield enforcer, Wilfred Ndidi, who had missed the continental house party in Cote d'Ivoire due to injury, is set to make a return.

Additionally, the team has given fresh opportunities to Nathan Tella from Bayer Leverkusen in Germany and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, who plays in Turkey, to stake their claims to permanent shirts. The team has also welcomed two new players to the squad: Gabriel Osho, a defender based in England, and Benjamin Tianimu, who is based in Tanzania. The team is looking to build on their success from the previous season and is hoping to perform well in the upcoming matches.
