Newcastle United first team player ruled out of the season

Newcastle United will play the rest of the 2024/25 season without the services of one of its first-team player, Lewis Hall following an injury he picked up.
The Magpies confirmed the extent of Lewis Hall injury on its official website on Wednesday, March 5 2025. According to reports from Newcastle, the young defender sustained an injury to his foot and he is expected to undergo surgery before he begins rehabilitation
The statement read as follows,
"Lewis Hall will miss the rest of the 2024/25 season after sustaining an injury to a bone in his foot. Following a scan and advice from a specialist, Lewis will undergo surgery before a period of rehabilitation with the club’s medical team. Wishing you all the very best for your surgery and recovery, Lewis 🖤"
What happened to Lewis Hall?
Hall sustained an injury during his side’s defeat to Liverpool in the Premier League and was absent as Newcastle were knocked out of the FA Cup by Brighton.
This injury is a big blow for Newcastle as he will miss the Carabao Cup final against Liverpool on Saturday, March 15, 2025, and key fixtures in the league as they continue in their quest to finish in Europe.
