Napoli reportedly reduces Victor Osimhen's buy-out clause amid Arsenal's interest

As we begin to countdown to the start of the 2024/25 season, the future of Victor Osimhen at Napoli looks like it might be coming to an end very soon.

The forward player has been linked with a move to top clubs in Europe with the focal attention coming from the Premier League. Napoli initially placed a buy-out clause of €150 million on Victor Osimhen which has been considered expensive for some of the interested clubs.

There are reports from Italy that Napoli may be ready to lower that initial valuation to €100M, in the hope that they can free up transfer funds for the club's manager, Antonio Conte, who is understood to bring Belgian international striker Romelu Lukaku this summer.

There have been rumours that Osimhen might play in the Premier League next season after a player profile was created for him on the league's official website. This reduction will be a big boost for Arsenal as they look to bring in another forward player who can lead the forward line next season.

Arsenal are expected to make contact with Napoli in the coming days to discuss the possible transfer of Osimhen. Arteta thinks that Arsenal needs to sign an out-and-out striker in the off-season after the team he had to rely on Kai Havertz as a false 9 over Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Jesus last season ( 2023/24).

How much is Arsenal willing to pay for Osimhen?

Arsenal are willing to pay 63.5 million pounds for the Nigerian which is lower than the new release clause.

How many goals during Osimhen score during the 2023/24 season?

The 25-year-old scored 15 goals through his 25 appearances in Serie A last season, and two in six Champions League games.
