Liverpool's winger, Mohamed Salah wrote his name in the history books of the Premier League after the game against Manchester United.

The Egyptian King as he is popularly called became the first player in history to score five goals against Manchester United in a single season. Salah achieved this feat in both legs of the game during the 2021/22 Premier League season, he scored a hat trick in the first leg and a brace in the second leg.

Liverpool also set a new record as they became the first team to score nine (9) goals against Manchester United. The Reds scored five goals in the first leg at Old Trafford and four goals in the second leg at the Anfield Stadium.

The game ensured Liverpool went top of the Premier League, they will remain top of the league before Manchester City play Brighton on Wednesday, April 20th, 2022.
