The future of Liverpool's midfielder, Mohamed Salah at Anfield has been a burning question in the minds of most of the club's supporters with just six months left on his current contract.

Mohamed Salah was asked for an update on his future after his impressive performance in the 5-0 thrashing against West Ham United at the London Stadium on Sunday, December 29, 2024. According to the Egyptian King, both parties are still far from deciding on the possibility of a new contract.

What did Mohamed Salah say about his future at Liverpool?

"The only thing on my mind is I want Liverpool to win the league and I want to be part of that. That's the only thing I focus on since the beginning of the season. We are far away from that [any news on contract]. I don't want to put something in the media and everyone start talking. I am focused on the team and winning the Premier League."

Salah also made Premier League history as the first player to score and assist in eight different games in a single season. Also eight seasons in a row Salah has scored 20+ goals for Liverpool in all competitions, a new club record.

Arne Slot was also asked about the future of his players ( Salah, Van Dijk, and Trent Alexander-Arnold)who are currently out of contract.

"I think I have a lot of control over what they do if they're on a training pitch But their private lives I don't have control.I don't think I have to say too much about it. I'm really happy with Trent, as I am with Mo and Virgil. For me, there's no difference. Maybe there is more happening in the media [with Trent] than the other two, but I'm really happy with the three."

The future of these players will be ending at the end of this current season and if a new agreement is not reached before the January transfer window ends, they could agree on a new deal with another club.
