He said,
We will be actively looking to strengthen the squad in January. Depending on the availability of certain players, the window is there, I mean, we're Arsenal and we have to be looking at it. Our job is to be very prepared because something can happen”.
Arteta explained that Arsenal’s approach will be shaped by necessity rather than impulse. He acknowledged that the squad is not the biggest compared to some of their title rivals, and with players already facing fitness issues, reinforcements could become essential.
Arteta also highlighted the importance of maintaining balance within the squad rather than making signings for the sake of it, Arsenal will prioritise quality and suitability to their long-term project.
