The agent of Cristiano Ronaldo, Jorge Mendes has reportedly met with the President of Barcelona, Joan Laporta for a shocking transfer.

Ronaldo who failed to resume pre-season training with his teammates at Manchester United on Monday, July 4th, 2022 told the Red Devils he wants to leave the club. A sports news outlet, Sport Bible confirmed the meeting between Laporta and Mendes with Ronaldo joining the Cataluyna side being one of the topics discussed.

The 37-year-old has cited Manchester United's failure to qualify for the UEFA Champions League as one of the reasons he wants to leave Old Trafford. The Portuguese has been linked with top clubs which include Chelsea and Bayern Munich and recently Barcelona.

Ronaldo's goal-scoring form should not be a thing of worry for any club he decides to join, he scored 24 goals for the Red Devils last season, 18 of which were scored in the Premier League.
