Meet your nominees for the best player of the month in October 2023
The Premier league have announced a shortlist of six players for the player of the month award for October 2023.
The list of players were announced on the official website of the Premier League on Thursday, November 2, 2023, following their fantastic performance for their respective clubs.
Who are the nominees for October 2023 Player of the Month award?
Douglas Luiz:
The Brazilian midfielder was a key figure of Aston Villa as they took seven points from the available nine points in October. He became the first Villa player to score in six straight Premier League home matches.

The Cameroonian international has been fantastic for Brentford since the absence of Ivan Toney who was suspended due to the violation of betting rules. He scored a goal and an assist in a 3-0 win over Burnley, and then did the same in a 2-0 victory at Chelsea, helping Brentford become the first Premier League team to win their first three trips to Stamford Bridge.
Pedro Neto:
He assisted a goal in all three of Wolves' October matches, taking his tally to a league-leading seven assists this season. He helped Wolves maintain their unbeaten run this month, beating AFC Bournemouth 2-1 and drawing with Villa and Newcastle.
Mohamed Salah:
This is a back-to-back nomination for the Egyptian King, after scoring in all three of his matches, with five goals in total. He scored both Liverpool goals in a 2-2 draw with Brighton and in the 2-0 win over Everton. He completed the set with a 3-0 victory against Nottingham Forest.
Arsenal's Declan Rice and Tottenham's Christian Romero complete the six-man nomination.
