Matteo Kovacic reportedly celebrates Cole Palmer's equaliser against Manchester City

The mouth-watering match between Chelsea and Manchester City left football fans around the world after 100 minutes of an action-packed game at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea's former player, Matteo Kovacic was caught on a phone camera by a supporter in the stadium fisting his hands in a celebratory manner when Cole Palmer scored the equaliser in the 95th minute of the match. However, there have been comments from some fans that the action might be a form of annoyance from the Croatian International.

The midfielder who was substituted in the second half of the game has not spoken about the situation likewise his club, Manchester City has not addressed the situation. Kovacic joined the Cityzens during the 2023 summer transfer window for 25 million pounds but failed to break into Pep Guardiola's first team.

The match ended 4-4 with Haaland getting a brace, Akanji and Rodri finding the back of the net for the away team while Thiago Silva, Raheem Sterling, Nicolas Jackson and Cole Palmer scored for the home team.

Chelsea face Newcastle United next while Manchester City go into another blockbuster game against Liverpool, both games will be played after the FIFA International break.
