Mason Mount releases an emotional video to Chelsea supporters

Former Chelsea player, Mason Mount has released an emotional video to the supporters of the Stamford Bridge club as it concerns his future.

The English international released the video on his official Instagram account on Tuesday, July 4, 2023. Mason Mount released a 76 seconds video to every Chelsea supporter explaining his reason for deciding to leave the club.

The future of the 24-year-old has been in doubt for the past six months. According to reports in England, both parties failed to reach an agreement concerning a contract extension for the midfielder.

However, Mount decided to join Manchester United on a five-year deal with an option to extend by an extra year which will make him stay at Old Trafford at least until 2029. The arrival of Mount will add more steel to Manchester United's midfield which has Casemiro, Bruno Fernandes and Christian Eriksen.

The Red Devils had to go through four deals before they could reach Chelsea's asking price of £60 million for the midfielder.
