Marcus Rashford future away from Manchester United takes a huge step

The future of Marcus Rashford at Manchester United is beginning to reach its end after the England international fell off the pecking order at the club after the arrival of Ruben Amorim.
The latest update on the forward player is that his representatives met with Barcelona executives in Lisbon on Tuesday, January 22, 2025, as revealed by Sky Sports News. According to reports, Marcus Rashford is interested in joining Barcelona as against any other club that are interested in him.
However, due to the current financial fair play crisis that Barcelona are dealing with, they will have to put things into proper planning to be able to accommodate the England international. There are reports that Ansu Fati and Eric Garcia could be on their way out of the club which would make it easy for Rashford to join the Catalonia giants.
Barcelona's sporting director, Deco was asked about the possibility of bringing in new players this summer.

"We are dealing with the issue of [financial] fair-play. In the final days, if the team can be strengthened, we will try, but as of today there is nothing. The priority is the renewals of the important players in the squad, and then we could focus on one or two reinforcements, but it is not something that the coach has asked of us either. We are fully focused on new contracts now then, if we can bring in other reinforcements, that would always be welcome. The coach is happy with the squad we have, so any future decisions will be made later."
Barcelona are yet to make an official approach for Rashford but Borussia Dortmund have reached out to Manchester United for the player.
