Marcos Alonso reportedly reacts to Manchester United bid

Former Chelsea defender, Marcos Alonso has reportedly reacted to the bid which was submitted by Manchester United.

The Spaniard joined Barcelona during the 2022 summer transfer window from Chelsea on a permanent deal. According to Spanish-based outlet, Marca, Marcos Alonso rejected the deal which was submitted by the Red Devils.

The 32-year-old emerged as a potential candidate to fill the void left by Luke Shaw, who suffered a muscle injury that is expected to rule him out for several months. The former Chelsea player rejected the chance to return to the Premier League and instead determined to see out the final year of his deal with the Blaugrana.

Alejandro Balde is the preferred player in the left-back position by the coach of Barcelona, Xavi Hernandez. However, Alonso is happy to fight for his place after Jordi Alba left for Inter Miami.
