Manchester United Submits First Official Bid for Mason Mount

Manchester United Football Club have reportedly submitted their first official bid to Chelsea for Mason Mount.

One of the leading sports journalists when it comes to the transfer of players, Matt Law, confirmed the news on his official Twitter account on Wednesday, June 14th, 2023. According to him, the Red Devils submitted £40 million for the midfielder, however Chelsea have rejected the bid for Mount.

The reports coming from Stamford Bridge has it that Chelsea are asking for nothing less than £70 million for Mount. The midfielder has reportedly agreed on personal terms with the Manchester team and he is ready to make an immediate switch.

The player's future at Chelsea has been in doubt in the past few months as both parties are yet to agree on a deal that will see him stay at his boyhood club beyond 2024. Nonetheless, Mount will leave Chelsea as a free agent, if the Blues can not strike a deal with the player and if they fail to sell him.
