Manchester United completed the signing of five players during the 2024/25 summer transfer window despite being linked with a lot more than the numbers they eventually signed ahead of the new season.

The Red Devils will be looking to finish in the top four and most likely give a fair fight to wrestle the league from Manchester City who are looking to claim the trophy for the fifth consecutive time. Manchester United supporters will hope that their new signings can bring a spark to Old Trafford and revitalize Erik ten Hag's squad.

We will take a look at the players that have joined Manchester United this 2024 summer transfer window ahead of the 2024/25 football season. United have been a bit busy this summer transfer window having completed the signing of the acquisition of two of the best footballers in the world .

Who are Manchester United's signings for the 2024/25 season?

(1) Joshua Zirkzee:

One of Manchester United's summer signings of the season is Dutchman, Joshua Zirkzee who completed his move to Old Trafford from Bologna with a lot of expectations from the supporters of the Red Devils. Zirkzee signed a five-year year deal which will keep him at the club until 2029, according to reports United paid £36 million to Bologna.

The youngster will bring his experience to Manchester United following his experience from last season with Bologna. He was named the 2023/24 Serie A Under-23 Player of the Year, and was Bologna FC’s top goalscorer last season, helping his team qualify for the UEFA Champions League.

(2) Leny Yoro:

Manchester United completed the signing of Leny Yoro from Ligue 1 side, Lille, which is the Red Devils' second signing of the 2024 summer transfer window. It confirmed the signing of the young defender on its official website on Thursday, July 18, 2024. According to reports from the club, Leny Yoro signed a five-year deal, which will keep him at the club at least until 2029.

The young defender was fantastic for Lille last season, which was the reason why United opted to pay £50 million for him despite having one year left on his contract with the French side. Real Madrid were initially interested in bringing in the 18-year-old to Bernabeu, but they were not ready to break the bank to bring on Yoro.

Matthijs De Ligt:

The Netherlands international reunited with Erik Ten Hag with a few days left to the end of the summer transfer window. He signed a five-year deal which will keep him at the club until June 2029, with the option to extend for a further year.

Noussair Mazraoui:

The Moroccan International also played under Ten Hag just like De Ligt, he won three league titles with the Dutch club and another with Bayern. He has signed a four-year deal with the option of a further year and arrives on the day that full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka's departure to West Ham.

Sekou Kone was the final player who joined Manchester United during this summer transfer window. The 18-year-old Malian midfielder completed his move from Guidars FC went through on deadline day.
