Manchester United reportedly takes decision on Michael Carrick's future

Manchester United have reportedly decided to back Michael Carrick for the long term following his impressive spell in charge at Old Trafford.
There are multiple reports coming from Old Trafford that have confirmed that senior club figures including CEO Omar Berrada and director of football Jason Wilcox are prepared to recommend Carrick as the club’s permanent manager during talks with Sir Jim Ratcliffe. According to reports, the United midfielder has reportedly won over both the board and the dressing room after guiding the team back into the Champions League places.
Carrick has overseen a major turnaround since taking charge earlier this year, with United climbing up the Premier League table and producing strong results against rivals including Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool.
