Manchester United has released a final statement on Cristiano Ronaldo's Future at the club.

In a turn of events that no one anticipated, Manchester United has released an official statement on the future of club legend Cristiano Ronaldo.

In the final statement released by the club Manchester United confirmed that Ronaldo would not return to old Trafford as his contract has been terminated on mutual terms.

The statement read:

Cristiano Ronaldo is to leave Manchester United by mutual agreement, with immediate effect.

The club thanks him for his immense contribution across two spells at Old Trafford, scoring 145 goals in 346 appearances, and wishes him and his family well for the future.

Everyone at Manchester United remains focused on continuing the team’s progress under Erik ten Hag and working together to deliver success on the pitch.

Questions on the future of the Portuguese at the club had been a huge concern following his interview with Piers Morgan and it seems as though things have finally been settled between both sides.

Ronaldo who would captain Portugal at the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar would be considering other options as to where to go next.
