Manchester United qualify for 2024/25 Europa League

Manchester United Football Club qualify for the 2024/25 Europa League following a fantastic victory over Manchester City in the final of the FA Cup.

Two quick goals in the first half from Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo ensured Manchester United would end the season with a trophy and also qualify for the Europa League. United got revenge on their noisy neighbours after they lost the final 2-1 against the Cityzens.

United's victory means that Chelsea's sixth-place finish will see them placed in the Europa Conference League play-offs draw later in the year while Newcastle will completely miss out on European football after they finish in seventh place.

Qualification for the Conference League means Chelsea returns to European football after a one-year absence. The Blues will enter the tournament at the play-off round stage, where victory over a two-legged tie would secure a place in the league stage of the competition.
