Manchester United Confirm the Jersey Number of Wout Weghorst

Manchester United has revealed the jersey number of its latest signing, Wout Weghorst from Besiktas.
The Netherlands player has been given the jersey number 27, he spent the first part of the season on loan from Burnley to Turkish side Besiktas. The 30-year-old might get his debut for the Red Devils on Wednesday, January 16th, 2023, when they face Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
The Jersey number was worn by the Club's legend Gary Neville who was United's first-ever no.27 after squad numbers were introduced, wearing it between 1992 and 1994.
The right-back then took on the traditional shirt for his position, no.2, in the following season.
