Manchester United confirm the exit of a defender

Manchester United have confirmed the exit of Sergio Reguilon back to Tottenham after they decided to cut short the loan of the defender.

Tottenham confirmed the return of Sergio Reguilon on its official website on Thursday, January 4, 2023. The Spaniard international joined Manchester United on a loan deal during the 2023 summer transfer window as a replacement for Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia who were both injured at the start of the 2023/24 season.

However with Shaw back to fitness and Malacia almost close to his fitness and with United having fewer games after they exited the club’s Champions League and Carabao Cup exits. The club decided that hid time was up at Old Trafford after playing just 12 games.

There is nothing confirmed from Tottenham's manager, Ange Postelogou if Reguilon will break into the first team as the 2023/24 season progresses.
