Manchester City have unveiled the statue of the club's legend, Sergio Kun Aguero at the entrance of the Etihad Stadium.

The statue of the Argentine was unveiled on Friday, May 13th, 2022, it showed Aguero celebrating his goal in the 93rd minute of the Premier League game against Queens Park Rangers during the 2010/11 season which gave the Cityzens their first league title in 44 years. City won the league on goals aggregate ahead of Manchester United.

Aguero expressed his delight in an interview with Sky Sports News, according to him, winning the Premier League in 2011 changed everything about the future of the club.

It's fantastic! I'm very happy for it, it's special. That moment changed my life, the club, everything. The best moment in my life. It will always be in my heart. We don't know what would have happened if we lost the Premier League that year. That year changed everything because the next years we started winning more titles.

Aguero is the highest goal scorer for Manchester City, he scored 257 goals in 384 appearances for City to become the club's record goalscorer, winning five Premier League titles, an FA Cup and six League Cups over 10 years the statue of the South American completes a trinity alongside Vincent Kompany and David Silva.
