With Manchester City currently struggling with form in the 2023/2024 season, fans can heave a sigh of relief as a crucial player for the team has been confirmed to be back in training.

Manchester City received a huge boost before the commencement of the 2023 club World Cup as the club in an official statement confirmed the return of the charismatic and influential attacking midfielder Kevin De Bruyne.

Kevin De Bruyne who has been out since August 2023 as a result of a hamstring injury made his return and trained with the squad ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup semi-final fixture scheduled to be played by the Cityzens today, Tuesday, December 19, 2023.

It has not been confirmed if KDB would play for Man City in this fixture but fans are excited to have him part of the side again.

The statement written by the club read, "Kevin De Bruyne was part of the action as City put the final preparations in place for our FIFA Club World Cup semi-final earlier today. The Belgian has been unavailable with a hamstring injury since the Premier League opener with Burnley in August and took another step in his recovery today. It comes ahead of our meeting with Japanese club Urawa Red Diamonds at the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia at 18:00 (UK) on Tuesday 19 December. That represents our first match in the Club World Cup in our history and we know victory will take us to Friday's final."

Man City have struggled to pick up maximum points in the last three games in their premier league fixtures and with Erling Haaland currently missing in action KDB would be a welcomed addition to the squad.
