Man United have suffered two devastating injury blows as key players are set to miss the premier league fixture against Chelsea on Thursday.

Things seem to be going from bad to worse for Erik Ten Hag ahead of the highly anticipated Premier League fixture, Man United vs Chelsea as two new players have sustained injury blows ahead of the game which is scheduled to be played on Thursday, April 4, 2024.

Man United in an official announcement released on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, confirmed the severity of the injuries of both players, Lindelof and Lisandro Martinez.

Manchester United's centre-back Victor Lindelof sustained a hamstring injury in the second half of their recent game against Brentford, which will keep him out of action for an extended period of time. This injury is a significant setback for United's defensive line.

Lisandro Martinez, who replaced Lindelof during the Brentford match, suffered an injury of his own. After returning from a knee injury that kept him out of action since early February, the Argentine international picked up a calf strain during training, ruling him out of upcoming fixtures.

The statement released by the club read, "Manchester United centre-backs Victor Lindelof and Lisandro Martinez will be out of action for at least a month due to muscle injuries. Sweden captain Lindelof was withdrawn during the second half of last Saturday’s Premier League game against Brentford with a hamstring problem. Victor was replaced by Martinez after 69 minutes, as the Argentina international made his first appearance since early February. Unfortunately, Licha has now sustained a calf strain in training and is unavailable for the next few games. "
