Man City's premier league title chase suffer 2 huge injury blows

Man City might just have to kiss the 2025/2026 Premier League title race goodbye as two key players have suffered injury blows.
Man City’s pursuit of another Premier League title has taken a hit, with Pep Guardiola confirming that the squad is facing multiple injury concerns. The manager revealed that “six or seven players” are currently sidelined.
Among the most significant setbacks, Josko Gvardiol is expected to be out for an extended period after suffering a broken shinbone against Chelsea, while Ruben Dias will miss four to six weeks due to a hamstring injury.
Adding to City’s defensive worries, Guardiola admitted he has “no idea” how long John Stones will be unavailable, a key concern with the defender approaching the final six months of his contract at the Etihad.
City endured a similar injury crisis last season, prompting a £200 million spending spree on five new signings to reinforce the squad. Guardiola, however, stressed that the situation this year is different, “The spirit is different. Maybe we get something, but it’s completely different from last season. We are not going to buy four or five players like last season. To have the best transfer net spend in the country? We are not, but apparently we always are.”
