Lukaku a betrayer, says Inter Milan Vice President, Javier Zanetti
The vice president and legend of Inter Milan, Javier Zanetti has labelled Romelu Lukaku a betrayal following the way things ended between both parties.
The forward player has been declared surplus to requirements at Chelsea Football Club, and the Blues are trying everything in their power to offload the Belgian International. Romelu Lukaku though, is being linked with a move back to Italy but to Inter's rivals Juventus in a potential swap deal that will see Dusan Vlahovic go the other way.
Inter Legend, Javier Zanetti was speaking in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport where he expressed his displeasure about the way Lukaku went behind them to speak with Juventus.
"Lukaku has betrayed us. We’re very disappointed. We expected completely different behaviour by Romelu, as professional but also as a man."
Lukaku did the same thing to Chelsea when he granted an interview with Sky Sports Italy just months after he joined the Blues for a record transfer fee during the 2021 summer transfer window. As it stands, he is not sure of his next destination because Chelsea did not give him a squad number which means he is not in the plans of the club.
