Liverpool supporters receive heartbreaking news on Valentine's Day
The supporters of Liverpool Football Club were hit with an injury news to one of its first-team players on Valentine's Day.
The club were hit with the extent of Trent Alexander-Arnold‘s knee injury, which has ruled the right-back out of the Carabao Cup final against Chelsea. The England international was forced off at half-time in the 3-1 victory over Burnley on Saturday, February 10, 2024, having felt pain in his left knee.
The Times confirmed that the defender could be ruled out for an extended period which includes the Cup final which will be played on Saturday, February 25, 2024. However, there is no definite time for his absence from the squad but it is estimated that he could miss at least three games.
Liverpool face Brentford on February 17, after then they take a trip to Luton in the Premier League on February 21, four days before the Carabao Cup final.
