Lionel Messi Sends Emotional Message to Sergio Aguero

Lionel Messi sent an emotional message to Sergio Aguero after the Argentine confirmed in a video at Camp Nou that he has retired from football following his heart condition.

Messi posted the message on his official Instagram account accompanied with pictures of both players while on duty for the Argentine National team. Both players won the Copa America against rivals Brazil in July 2021.

Pretty much a whole race together. We lived very nice moments and others that weren't so much, all of them made us more and more united and more friends. Aguero was substituted in a La Liga game between Barcelona and Alaves in October 2021. The 33-year-old felt a pain in his chest while the game was going on, but health workers at the club were able to keep him calm before he was taken to the hospital.
