Lionel Messi in his latest interview has revealed the last club he will play for before retiring from football at the club level in the coming years.

Inter Miami star Lionel Messi in his recent up close and personal interview spoke on his plans for the future in the coming years where he also mentioned and discussed the last club he will play for before retirement.

The 2022 World Cup winner revealed that he will not be joining any other team after his contract with the MLS giants Inter Miami expires in 2025. Messi, who will turn 37 on June 24, 2024, emphasized that he is not ready to leave football just yet. Messi’s presence has significantly raised the profile of MLS in the United States, with matches selling out and his jersey becoming the most popular among MLS merchandise.

He told ESPN that if he would retire as of today, the last club he will play for is bound to be Inter Miami. He stated, "Yes, as of today, I think it’s going to be my last club."

Arguably one of the greatest footballers on earth, Messi has continued to show his love for the game of football at both the international and club level. He is expected to lead Argentina in the upcoming Copa America 2024, which will take place in the United States.

Given his accomplishments, it remains undecided if he will also lead Argentina to the upcoming 2026 World Cup, which the USA, Mexico, and Canada will co-host.
