Latest update of rumour linking Paulo Dybala to Chelsea

It is not a secret that Chelsea Football Club needs a striker who will help rescue them from their inability to score goals and also help win matches.

The name of Roma forward player, Paulo Dybala has been on the lips of most Chelsea supporters since the 2024 January transfer window opened. The forward player has a release clause of 30 days on his contract which now expires in a few days any club that needs him will pay Roma less than £15 million.

Transfer news expert, Fabrizio Romano confirmed exclusively to CaughtOffside for his latest Daily Briefing column. He said that the Argentine might not leave Roma during the winter despite the rumours linking him away from the club.

"Despite rumours about Chelsea, I see Dybala staying at Roma as things stand. I have no updates, there’s nothing happening as of now and his release clause will expire in four days…so, it looks difficult and unlikely. I think Chelsea need a striker more than a top quality all-round attacking player like Dybala.”

Chelsea supporters will hope the club can bring in Dybala following his amazing career with Juventus, Roma and Palermo in the Serie A.
