The saga between Paris Saint Germain and Kylian Mbappe might officially come to an end after the current football season (2023/24).

The French International has reportedly told the President of the Ligue 1 club that he would leave as a free agent. Transfer news expert, Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Mbappe will leave PSG at the end of this season but the details of his departure are yet to be agreed on.

"Kylian Mbappé has now informed PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi that he will leave the club as a free agent. The terms of the departure are yet to be fully agreed but he will leave Paris in the summer. Kylian has yet to fulfil his commitments to the club."

The 25-year-old becomes a free agent on June 30, 2024, as his two-year deal which he signed in 2022 comes to an end. He has been linked with a move to Real Madrid for the past two seasons but there has been nothing confirmed concerning where he will play his football next season.

Recall that in 2023, Mbappe had initially accepted to join Real Madrid but he had to change his mind after PSG offered him a contract he could not resist.
