Kylian Mbappe joins Real Madrid on a long-term deal

Former Paris Saint-Germain player, Kylian Mbappe has reportedly agreed to join the 2023/24 UEFA Champions League winner, Real Madrid.

The forward player had initially announced that he would not be renewing his contract with PSG upon the expiration of his current contract with the Ligue 1 Champions. He was initially linked with a move to Real Madrid and almost joined Los Blancos in the summer of 2022 before he changed his mind and signed a contract extension with the Ligue 1 side.

Transfer news expert, Fabrizio Romano confirmed on his official X account on Sunday, June 2, 2024, that Kylian Mbappe with join Real Madrid. The Italian posted a video confirming that every document has a signed and the deal on expected to be announced in the coming days.

Real Madrid's manager, Carlo Ancelotti refused to be drawn on Mbappé’s arrival, saying he would not talk about any players not in Madrid’s squad, but Jude Bellingham said the forward would “take us to the next level”.

However, they might not be able to present him to their fans until mid-July because France are preparing for the Euro 2024. Mbappe will be a big addition to Real Madrid's quest of winning their 15th UEFA Champions League title.
