Manchester United midfielder, Kobbie Mainoo is reportedly set to leave Old Trafford at the end of this season ( 2024/25).

The agreement of an improved contract for the England international has been an issue since March 2024 between the parties involved. According to reports, the player is asking the Manchester United board to increase his pay because he deserves more than what he currently earns at the club.

Manchester Evening News confirmed on its website on Thursday, March 27, 2025, that there is a huge chance that Kobbie Mainoo could leave in the summer. However, there needs to be a compromise in contract negotiations for the player to remain a Red Devil next season.

One of the reasons that will be looked into at in negotiating a new contract for him is if the head coach, Ruben Amorim sees Mainoo as part of his plan next season. The board will also take into consideration the Premier League's profitability and Sustainability rules which will most likely see them cash in on the player.

The youngster enjoyed his football last season and won the winning goal against Manchester City in the FA Cup final but has spent the better part of this campaign injured which has been a big blow for United.

What is the valuation of Kobbie Mainoo?

The midfielder is valued at £70 million, this will be a big boost for the club when they decide to balance their books.
