Khvicha Kvaratskhelia according to recent reports is expected to leave Napoli in the January 2025 transfer window as things stand.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's time at Napoli seems to be coming to an end, with Antonio Conte confirming that the winger has asked to leave the club. This news comes as Kvaratskhelia has been dropped for the team's upcoming match against Hellas Verona.

Conte expressed his disappointment with the player's decision, stating that he had been trying to convince Kvaratskhelia to stay and be a part of the team's project. However, it appears that the Georgian international has made up his mind, and a transfer is likely to happen soon.

Several top clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, and Chelsea, have been linked with Kvaratskhelia, and it's rumoured that PSG is close to finalizing a deal worth around €80 million. Kvaratskhelia's departure would be a significant loss for Napoli, as he has been a key player for the team, scoring five goals and providing three assists in 17 Serie A appearances this season.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s time at Napoli seems to be coming to an end, with the player expressing his desire to leave the club. Manager Antonio Conte has confirmed that Kvaratskhelia wants to move on, and it’s likely that he’ll be heading to Paris Saint-Germain. Talks are ongoing between Napoli and PSG, with reports suggesting that a deal worth around €70 million is close to being finalized.

Kvaratskhelia has been a key player for Napoli, scoring five goals and providing three assists in 17 Serie A appearances this season. His departure would be a significant loss for the club, but it’s clear that he’s eager to take on a new challenge. Liverpool had also been linked with the Georgian winger, but it seems that PSG are now in the driving seat.

Conte told reporters “Kvara has asked to be sold. The club told me and he confirmed it: I feel very disappointed, because in these 6 months I have put him at the centre of the project making him understand that something important could be done and I have worked with the club for the renewal, instead we are back to the beginning”.

He added: “Evidently I have not been so incisive in convincing the parties to move forward together, today I find myself at a point where I have to take a step back. I cannot keep in chains those who do not want to stay: I did it in the summer, I had 6 months to convince them to find the solution and therefore it was a bolt from the blue. I would never want him to think that I vetoed him and chained him if he were to stay: this summer I did it convinced that I would convince him to embrace the goodness of the project, but I didn’t succeed.”

Asked about the winger being left out of the squad, he added, “It’s right that Napoli, Kvara and his entourage resolve the situation, the problem is between them. He is not available for Verona and we will see what happens in the future”.
