Belgium and Man City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has cleared the air regarding speculations of him writing a song for Drake off his new release.

The speculation surrounding Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne's unexpected role as a co-writer on rapper Drake's latest song, "Wick Man," led the footballer to address the rumours in a post on his social media platform earlier today, Friday, November 17, 2023. Fans were quick to celebrate the multi-talented athlete, with many jokingly questioning if there was anything the Treble winner couldn't do.

In response to the amusing coincidence, the 32-year-old playfully remarked on X that Drake "needed an assist," accompanied by a photo of the two together. However, De Bruyne took to social media again to clarify that he wasn't involved in the song's creation, dismissing the rumours in a second post.

The humorous exchange caught the attention of his City teammate Erling Haaland, who acknowledged De Bruyne's absence from the squad due to injury and commented on Instagram, "he is not alone." De Bruyne, known for his prolific assists on the pitch, notably contributed eight assists to Haaland in the previous Premier League season, linking up effectively before his sidelining with a hamstring injury after the first game of the current campaign.
