Jurgen Klopp speaks on the possibility of Kylian Mbappe joining Liverpool
Jurgen Klopp in his latest pre-match press conference ahead of Liverpool's Premier League fixture has opened up on the possibility of Kylian Mbappe joining the club in the 2024/2025 season.
Although Klopp had already confirmed that he would be leaving Anfield at the end of the 2023/2024 club football season, the team coach still shared his thoughts when asked about the possibility of Kylian Mbappe joining the club in his absence.
Jurgen Klopp admitted that this would be a tricky deal as a huge sum of money would be involved as well as long and complicated processes, aside from that the head coach also hinted that many top clubs are also interested in signing Mbappe so the competition is expected to be stiff.
When asked if he saw Kylian Mbappe making the move to Real Madrid instead of Liverpool who had been linked to the French International star in the past, Jurgen Klopp revealed that this was something he had no idea about but he would however be surprised if the Spanish giants complete the move.
He said, “Obviously, I’m not involved in that, but I can tell you I’d be surprised if all the top clubs were. The top clubs I know, for most of them it will be tricky - wages, signing-on fee.”
