The manager of Liverpool Football Jurgen Klopp led his team to set a new record for the first time in 59 years at the club.

Liverpool won the game 4-0 against Bournemouth which was played on Sunday, January 21, 2024, with goals from Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota. Jurgen Klopp was forced to play some of the players in the club's academy due to the unavailability of some of the key players with injuries and national team engagement.

An online football database on X, Opta Joe confirmed that this is only the fourth time Liverpool have used six players 21 years old or younger during a game. It is also the first time that's happened since a game against Wolverhampton Wanderers in April 1965.

Connor Bradley (20) made his Premier League debut at the Vitality Stadium, alongside Harvey Elliott, who is the same age, and started in midfield, while Ryan Gravenberch (21) came off the bench for Elliott in the second half. Bobby Clark (18), Kaide Gordon (19) and Owen Beck (21) all came into the game to replace Curtis Jones, Jota and Bradley.
