Jurgen Klopp gives update on Mohamed Salah's injury

The manager of Liverpool Football Club, Jurgen Klopp has reacted to the injury suffered by his talisman, Mohamed Salah who is on international duty with Egypt.

The Egyptian international picked up a knock in his team's second game at the ongoing AFCON 2023 against the Black Stars of Ghana. He was replaced before the half-time break, the injury looks like a suspected hamstring but the Egyptian Football Association has yet to give any details concerning the fitness of the player.

Jurgen Klopp confirmed that he has reached out to Salah after the game against Ghana but they have no detailed information about the fitness of the player.

He said,

"We don't know anything,I spoke with him last night, and he will have further assessment. Then we will know more. He felt it, and we all know how rarely Mo goes off, so it's definitely something. We will see. We don't know yet what is the problem. I hope it is not a big problem.

The coach of the Pharoahs, Rui Vitoria also confirmed that he can not confirm anything concerning the injury to Salah.

"Now, I don't know because it is early to see something. I think it is not dangerous but let's see if Salah recovers."

The supporters of Egypt will hope Salah gets fit before their last group game against Cape Verde.
