Jurgen Klopp explains why Liverpool lost to Arsenal

Arsenal Football Club reduced the points difference between themselves and Liverpool to two points after putting up a fantastic performance at the Emirates Stadium.

The Reds were going into the game against the Gunners with the hope of extending their led to eight points after they thrashed Chelsea at Anfield, three days earlier. Bukayo Saka scored the opening goal of the game before Gabriel scored an own goal towards the end of the first half. Arsenal dominated the second half and complimented their efforts with goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard to end the game 3-1.

Liverpool's manager, Jurgen Klopp expressed his disappointment after the game. According to him, so many things went wrong for his team but he also focused on the way the referee officiated the game.

"A lot of things went against us. This referee gave me red card against City for wrestling situation. Bernardo & Salah. Today same with Jota that didn’t get a red card, unbelievable. Holding by Havertz on Konate Gabriel did same with Nunez, no yellow card."

Liverpool currently top the league table with 51 points having played 23 games, which puts them two points ahead of Arsenal in second position.
