The head coaxh of Germany Julian Nagelsmann has expressed his disappointment after the shock exit of Germany national football from the 2026 FIFA World Cup,

Nagelsmann admitted that the elimination was a bitter disappointment but insisted he is ready to continue leading the national team if the German Football Association still has confidence in him.

He said,

"I"I am not someone who runs away. This is not the first time this has happened, and there are some things about today that need to be changed. But if the DFB wants me to continue I am going to continue. I know the mechanics of football. I know how the industry works. I know a lot of people will want me to leave, but I would love to continue if the DFB wants me to."

The 38-year-old acknowledged that Germany fell short of expectations after another disappointing World Cup campaign but stressed that he remains committed to rebuilding the team. He also said missing the chance to face France national football team in the next round made the defeat even more painful.

Despite mounting speculation over his future, Nagelsmann has reaffirmed his desire to stay in charge, leaving the final decision to the DFB. His current contract runs until UEFA Euro 2028, although Germany's latest World Cup disappointment is expected to prompt a thorough review of the national team's direction.
